Yajima-Kyojima is one of the most beautiful tourist spot in SADO Island.

A red bridge, connecting 2 small islands called Yajima and Kyojima, over emerald green sea looks so beautiful and picturesque.

Yajima used to be a good quality bamboo production area, and it’s said that Mr.Yorimasa Minamoto, one of the famous samurais in Japan, used arrows made of this bamboo in “The Tale of the Heike”.

On the other hand, they say that the Kyojima is the place where Nichiren’s disciple spent a night reading sutras after being sent to SADO Island.

You can experience the Tarai Boat riding enjoying this scenery here, too.

It’s so calm, quiet and relaxing. And you would feel the time goes by slowly here.
