Lunch made of SADO rice flour

Rice is one of the special products in SADO Island.

It’s very fresh and slightly sweet.

And at the restaurant and cafe “Kome kokoro/Heart of Rice”, you can enjoy meals made of the rice flour.

It’s located on the hill in the middle of the island.

If you see this notice board on the side of the main road, please go up. You will see the entrance and parking area there.

There are mainly 3 buildings:
– Right one: dining room where you can have Japanese noodles made of the flour
– Middle one: restaurant and cafe to have noodle dishes made of the flour
– Left one: shop to buy souvenirs, drink and icecream made of local products

When I went there, fish were grilled outside.

It will be used to make some soup for Japanese noodle dishes at dining room.

At the dining room, I ordered curry noodle and Yakitori/grilled chiken.

The noodle was chewy and good with a little spicy curry soup.

Yakitoris were good, too.

I got a bottle of local apple juice there.

That’s the BEST apple juice I’ve ever had!!!

The balance of sweetness and sourness is just great!

After enjoying the noodle dish, I went up to the restaurant and cafe.

The scenery of Sea of Japan spreaded out before your eye, and you can go out to enjoy it at the open terrace,too.

I ordered rice noodle with tomato and Mozzarella cheese and cheese cake.

This noodle is also chewy and tasty.

The cheese cake softly melts in your mouth.
